Types of fireproof skylights from PHOTOTECH
Translucent fire-resistant skylights are installed on the roof openings of pitched and flat roofs, emphasizing the architectural design of buildings and solving the problem of natural lighting. They can be an element of the smoke-removal system, provide supplementary and exhaustive ventilation, effectively removing smoke and toxic products of combustion in case of fire.
PHOTOTECH manufactures two types of supporting and self-supporting frame constructions:
- pointy skylights (light domes), used for smoke extraction, local lighting and ventilation of premises;
- ribbon skylights (light lines), used for the filling of roof openings in workshops, hangars, warehouses, production centres and other large area facilities.
MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGIES OF FIRE AND SMOKE PROTECTION
PHOTOTECH manufactures skylights on a solid fireproof steel or aluminum frame. To increase fire resistance of constructions we use our own patented system STOPFIRE™, which fills the chambers with heat-resistant and heatabsorbing materials. To preserve the architectural design of the roof, the frames are painted in any color on the RAL scale or decorated with sublimation. Designs provide for a two-level system of moisture removal and have a given level of fire resistance, which meets the fire safety requirements of a particular object or room. We use fire-resistant seals and sealants that are UV-resistant and can withstand significant temperature changes.
The translucent filling can additionally be combined with special glasses:
- electrochromic, which changes transparency instantly;
- impact-resistant, which doesn't shatter into dangerous fragments if damaged;
- electrically heated, which doesn't get foggy or covered with ice.
